TIPS & TRICKS
💡 TIP: If you have the lovely lavender essential oil, you can of course add it too. First mix 3 to 5 drops of essential oil with 10 ml of carrier oil (for example fractionated coconut oil ) and mix this through the baking soda / citric acid mixture. Then add some lavender water if necessary, until your mixture feels like 'wet sand'.
💡 DID YOU KNOW: Mixing essential oils with carrier oils first dilutes them. As the baking soda and citric acid dissolve in your bath, the essential oils remain diluted instead of coming into direct contact with your skin, which is already slightly more sensitive from the heat of your bath.
* 💡 NOTE: Adjust the number of drops of essential oil to the person taking a bath. For example, fewer drops are recommended for children and pregnant women.
Disclaimer:
It is very important that you use 100% pure essential oils and that you are well informed about which oils you can take responsibly and which oils you cannot take.
There is a potential interaction between medications and essential oils, including an increase in the side effects of medications. Consult your physician if you have any questions about implementing essential oils into your daily routine. Pay particular attention to which essential oil is safe to use in the event of a (possible) pregnancy and when using blood thinners. Special guidelines also apply to children. Consult a qualified physician for this.
